Applicants should have turned 16 years of age in the beginning of the school year 26\/27<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0National Conservatory Dance School welcomes both national and international students.<\/span><\/p>\n

The school, based in Lisbon, offers a full-time Secondary Education (September-July) in both general and artistic studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The curriculum<\/a> <\/span>is designed for students who have turned 16 years of age with the highest artistic and technical skills in both classical ballet and contemporary dance, who want to pursue a career as professional dancers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Our dance training and curriculum concentrate on multidisciplinary technique and style of dancing, required by international dance companies. It includes daily ballet and contemporary classes, as well as additional lessons in pas de deux, classical and contemporary repertoire, composition, music, contemporary duet, character and yoga\/pilates.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students will also receive coaching for auditions, competitions and school performances. Each trimester, the school organizes performances as well as different\u00a0public events. At the end of the school year, a final performance is presented in one main theatre in Lisbon.<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0National Conservatory Dance School offers accredited dance education at national and international levels. All students graduating from the school will receive\u00a0an official\u00a0national diploma or certificate.<\/span><\/p>\n

International Auditions Procedure<\/span><\/span><\/h1><\/header>

Admission to the EDCN is subject to an audition, which may be through a Video sent to the School, containing parts of a classical dance class and a part of contemporary dance. This video (similarly to what will happen if the student opts for the presential audition modality) will be viewed by a jury appointed by the Director. To proceed with the video audition, the candidate must follow the following steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

1 – Open the “Candidate Information<\/strong>” field and fully read the PDF that applies to the candidate, with the conditions of access and attendance at EDCN;<\/span>
2 – Open the “Video Audition Requirments<\/strong>” field to find out the contents that must be included in the audition video;<\/span>
3 – Fill\u00a0 the “V\u00eddeo Audition Registration<\/strong><\/a>“<\/span> PDF file\u00a0
<\/strong><\/span>4 – If underage fill and sign the “Underage Student Parent or Guardian Consent Form”<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0PDF file<\/span>

CANDIDATE INFORMATION EU AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER<\/div>

GENERAL CONDITIONS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

EDCN accepts students for the three last grades of dance training course (6th, 7th and 8th grade) who have completed 18 years of age by the beginning of the school year, and, coming from other countries, wish to attend the disciplines of the Specialized Artistic Area of the Secondary Course for Dancers, as a complement to their training.<\/span><\/p>\n
